New Non-Judicial Staff Inducted

The Human Resource Department of the Judiciary on Monday May 29, 2023 carried out a one-day induction training for newly recruited and promoted non Judicial staff at the Judicial Training Institute in Nakawa, Kampala.

The induction was meant to integrate new employees into the institution to help them understand the systems and procedures in the Judiciary. The training also guided them on various practices that will ensure better service delivery.

Of those being inducted were thirty-three (33) new office attendants and eighteen(18) court clerks.

The Commissioner of Human Resources, Ms. Apophia N Tumwine took the new staff through the structure of the Judiciary. 

She emphasized the need to serve the public diligently and displaying integrity and impartiality. Ms Tumwine said, "let us all ensure that we are using our positions to contribute to the mandate of our institution...please be good examples and make a positive difference in your places of deployment."

She urged them to create a good brand for themselves, promote decency and also desist from corruption tendencies. 

The topics handled during the induction included Mandate, structure, and composition of the Judiciary, Ethical Conduct and Customer Care, Communication in the Service, Basic Financial Management, Terms and Conditions of Service, and Performance Appraisal.

The Principal Records Officer, Mr Jacob Gwom, moderated the induction.
